At Rehoboth Youth Koinonia, we believe that fellowship is at the heart of a vibrant faith journey. Inspired by Acts 2:42, our ministry is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and dynamic environment where young adults can connect, grow, and serve together.
Our Vision:
In Rehoboth Youth Koinonia, we emphasize on the following
Devotion to Learning**: We dive deep into the teachings of Scripture through engaging Bible studies, workshops, and discussions. Our aim is to equip youth with a strong foundation in their faith and an understanding of God’s Word that empowers them in their daily lives.
Cultivating Fellowship**: Fellowship is more than just friendship; it’s about building a supportive community. We host regular gatherings, social events, and small groups to encourage meaningful connections and shared experiences among our youth.
Sharing in the Breaking of Bread**: We believe in the power of shared meals and experiences. Our ministry organizes potlucks, community dinners, and service projects, creating opportunities for youth to bond over food while serving others in love.
Engagement in Prayer**: Prayer is essential for spiritual growth. We offer various opportunities for collective and individual prayer, including prayer meetings, retreats, and mentorship, helping youth cultivate a deeper relationship with God.
Join Us:
We invite all young adults to be part of Rehoboth Youth Koinonia. Together, we will grow in faith, strengthen our community, and make a positive impact in the world around us.
My name is Taivon Snipe, but I prefer to be called Taivy. I’m 19 years old and from Charleston, South Carolina. My favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:17, which encourages us to pray without ceasing. This verse reminds me to stay in constant communication with God, allowing Him to direct my day and ultimately shaping my weeks and months. Outside of church, I love meeting new people, trying different foods, playing various sports, and avoiding being a homebody.
I partner with Daisy as a youth leader at Rehoboth Youth Koinonia, and I’m also involved in the church's Men’s Ministry, where I help out whenever I can. In the next few years, I aim to deepen my knowledge of Christ and the Bible, earn a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, and become a professional athlete.
My spiritual journey has always been rooted in faith, but the moment I truly sought Christ for myself was during a difficult time on my college dorm floor, feeling broken and depressed. In that moment, the only comfort I found was in Jesus, and His word became a stronghold in my life. To me, fellowship means connecting with others who seek to have Jesus as the head of their lives and supporting one another in faith, experiences, and love. A fun fact about me is that I’m left-handed!
I’m 20 years old from Haiti. My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 51:10 because it resonates with me; as we strive to be better there are times we will mess up and constantly will have to ask God to renew our heart. Outside of church, I enjoy activities that involve moving around, like running and walking. I’m currently one of the youth leaders at Rehoboth Youth Koinonia. In the next few years, my personal goal is to grow closer to Christ. To me, fellowship means being around people who love to have fun while doing it for the glory of God. A fun fact about me is that I talk a lot—not exactly a fun fact, but it’s definitely a part of who I am as I love to share.
